I really appreciate that with such a large group of musicians the overall sound and experience of listening is really spacious, never cluttered. The lovely recording helps that a lot, and of course the compositional aspects that make it breathe are superb- it gets more and more fun as I listen again and again. Jasper Skydecker

Wonderfully modern interpretations of original tunes and old compositions. Damion Reid excels on drums as he always does, and Matt Brewer does a great job comping in an interesting way. Steve Lehman, of course, plays with a beautiful and unique tone with complexities that let you listen to the album again and again and still find more depth. Excellent album. rat
